In
1957, Lewis V. Vafiades and his cousin, Nicholas P. Brountas,
joined forces and opened a law firm in their native Bangor,
Maine. Their goal was to provide high quality legal services
to individuals and businesses throughout Maine. They practiced
law together as an association from 1957 to 1972. The law
firm of Vafiades, Brountas & Kominsky, LLP was formed
in 1971.
We are a law firm of ten Bangor attorneys
with a courteous and professional support staff. The firm
practices in a wide range of legal fields in all State and
Federal Courts in Maine. We are well respected and recognized
throughout the State as a prominent and quality law firm.
We are particularly proud of the long-term client relationships
that we have developed and sustained over the years.
We pride ourselves in providing quality
legal services to clients on an individual basis and according
to each client's specific needs. This approach is the bedrock
